INTRODUCING LIFT3

Our next generation LIFT3 board lineup combines Lift Foil’s past with a look into the future. After 3 years of board design and extensive customer feedback, we have kept some of the features that were most popular while adding more maneuverability and freedom into overall ride, all while improving weight, durability and ride-time.

How did we do that?
We redesigned our edges and water release points for a smooth and stable ride on the water, making it easier for any rider to get started on a smaller size board. With a reduced length and decreased mass in the nose of the board, there is less swing weight when carving a turn from side to side so the rider feels enhanced response and more control. The result; a board that offers the best combination of stability and performance, and a whole lot more fun.

We also redefined the construction of our boards and while doing so, completely evolved the old processes of a 100 year old surfing industry into something modern and high tech. As we began getting deeper into totally new design methodology, we ended up saying “what the hell, why not.”

Our boards are built in highly refined steel tools used to forge carbon fiber parts at extreme temperatures and heat. This is a process that is used with the most luxurious and advanced supers, and we are the only eFoil company to use such advanced practices. The results are that of a unique marbled carbon fiber that is lighter and stronger than our previous models. Not to mention, it looks incredible.

We are excited to get our hands on the new Lift LIFT3 eFoil. Some minor changes to the already impressive eFoil setup of the previous v2 generation. with all new improved wing design and board shape, this allows better performance and range of the eFoil. I head down to Portugal this week to check out the Fliteboard word cup e-foil race that is hosted at the world water forum In Monsaraz. A super unique event that I was lucky enough to find out about after using my Flite board so much in the last few months and pushing it to the edge of it performance, they invited me to see how fast I could push their boards in competition. So, I take you with me and my GoPro as I travel from the UK to Portugal and we check out this amazing event, and put some of these epic new boards, new hydrofoil wings, motors, props and other technical features to the test to optimise for the best speed around a single track, racing against a group of unique individuals as they put on the worlds first e-foil World Cup...

This is 1 of 3 videos I will make from this event, looking deeper into some of the technology that is behind these boards, what sort of changes make a huge difference to speed gains and hopefully taking home the gold at this amazing and unique event!!! New Horizons is the first mission to the Kuiper Belt, a gigantic zone of icy bodies and mysterious small objects orbiting beyond Neptune. This region also is known as the “third” zone of our solar system, beyond the inner rocky planets and outer gas giants. Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) in Maryland, designed, built and operates the New Horizons spacecraft, and manages the mission for NASA’s Science Mission Directorate in Washington.
